The short answer
The price of a website comes down to five things: what kind of site it is, how it's designed, what it needs to do, who writes the content, and how much search and speed work is included. Page count matters less than people think. Ten pages that share one layout cost less to build than four pages that each need their own design.
| Type of site | Adapted design | Custom design | Custom with 3D and motion |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business website | PKR 30,000 to 65,000 | PKR 70,000 to 180,000 | PKR 150,000 to 300,000 |
| Online store | PKR 70,000 to 150,000 | PKR 150,000 to 350,000 | PKR 280,000 to 550,000 |
| Web application | PKR 150,000 to 350,000 | PKR 300,000 to 800,000 | PKR 450,000 to 1,100,000 |

What the market charges
We read the prices that Pakistani agencies and software houses published for 2026. Ranges vary widely because the work behind them does. These are the ranges they advertise, in PKR:

| Template business website | 25,000 to 90,000 | 30,000 to 65,000 (adapted) |
| Custom business website | 80,000 to 600,000 | 70,000 to 180,000 |
| Online store | 80,000 to 1,200,000 | 150,000 to 350,000 |
| Custom web application | 200,000 to 3,000,000+ | 300,000 to 800,000 |
| Monthly maintenance | 5,000 to 15,000 | from 6,000 |

What drives the price
1. The type of site
A business website explains who you are and gets people to contact you. An online store adds products, cart, checkout, payment and delivery rules, stock and order emails, and has to be tested end to end with real orders. A web application (a portal, booking system or dashboard) has accounts, roles and data, and is closer to software than to a website.
2. The design approach
An adapted design starts from a clean base and fits it to your brand. A custom design is drawn for your business from scratch, desktop and phone separately. 3D and motion, like the turning bottles on al-maharah.store, adds rendering and animation work on top.
3. The features
Each feature is real work: online payments, WhatsApp ordering, pre-orders, delivery by weight, bookings, an Urdu version, a blog, or a connection to another system you already use.
4. The content
Words and photos are the slowest part of most projects. If you have them ready, the build moves faster. If you need writing help or product photography, budget for it.
5. Search and speed
A site nobody finds is a cost, not an asset. Keyword-led page structure, schema, a sitemap and fast loading on mobile data are part of the build, not an extra you discover later.

What not to pay for
"Unlimited pages." Pages are cheap once a layout exists. What you're paying for is design and build of each distinct layout, so ask how many of those you're getting.
Plugins you don't need. Every plugin is code someone has to update and secure. A store with forty plugins is slower and more fragile than one with eight.
A page builder you'll outgrow. Drag-and-drop builders make a site quick to assemble and slow to load. Your visitors pay for that on every page view.
Monthly fees for things you could own. Before you sign up to an app subscription, ask whether the feature could be built into your site once.
Red flags in a cheap quote
- The domain or hosting is in the developer's name. Insist that both are registered to you, with your email on the account.
- A pirated or "nulled" theme. These are a common source of malware and can't be updated safely.
- No phone design. If you only see desktop mockups, the phone version is an afterthought.
- No redirect plan. Replacing an old site without mapping old URLs throws away the search traffic it built.
- No backups or staging. Changes made straight on the live site are how stores go down on a busy day.
Running costs after launch
A website keeps costing a little every year. Plan for a domain renewal (.pk domains are registered through PKNIC and its resellers; .com through any registrar), hosting sized to your traffic, and maintenance: updates, backups and small changes. SSL certificates are free with most hosts, so you shouldn't be charged separately for one.
Stores have a few more: payment gateway fees if you take online payments, and courier integration if your courier offers one.
ZIRA maintenance plans start at PKR 6,000 a month for updates, backups, uptime checks and small content changes.
Questions about cost
How much does ZIRA charge for a website?
For up to four page layouts: a business website is PKR 30,000 to 65,000 with an adapted design, 70,000 to 180,000 custom, or 150,000 to 300,000 with 3D and motion. An online store is PKR 70,000 to 150,000, 150,000 to 350,000 or 280,000 to 550,000. A web application is PKR 150,000 to 350,000, 300,000 to 800,000 or 450,000 to 1,100,000. You get a written fixed quote before any work starts.
What decides the cost of a website in Pakistan?
The type of site, the design approach, the features, who provides the content, and how much search and speed work is included. Page count matters less than the number of distinct page designs.
Why does an online store cost more than a business site?
A store needs product pages, cart and checkout, payment and delivery rules, stock handling, order emails and product schema, and has to be tested end to end with real orders.
What are the yearly running costs?
A domain renewal, hosting and optional maintenance. SSL is free with most hosts. Make sure the domain and hosting are in your own name.
Why are some quotes so cheap?
Usually a bought or pirated theme with the demo content swapped, a page builder, no phone design, no search setup, and the domain held by the developer. Cheap to buy, expensive to own.
