The challenge
One of Balochistan's established Urdu newspapers came to ZIRA Technologies to modernise and strengthen its digital presence. The site carried security vulnerabilities, loaded slowly, had weak search visibility, and had technical faults affecting core reader features. There was also no defined path toward audience growth or monetisation.
What we delivered
Security & site health
Full security audit and remediation. Vulnerabilities removed and the site hardened against recurrence, returning it to a clean state confirmed in Google's security reporting.
Performance optimisation
Page load times improved, mobile in particular, through caching strategy and image optimisation — a faster experience for readers on the connections they actually use.
Technical SEO
The SEO foundation rebuilt: structured data, titles and metadata, a full XML sitemap, and a dedicated Google News sitemap. Configured for correct Urdu right-to-left presentation throughout.
Google News & discoverability
The publication registered and prepared for Google News, opening a route to a wider national and international readership.
E-E-A-T & editorial structure
A professional author and byline system implemented, crediting reporters and editors properly — strengthening the publication's credibility and its trust signals with search engines.
Feature restoration
The ePaper system (آج کا اخبار) diagnosed and restored, then improved: the latest edition now surfaces automatically, with a date-based archive for back issues.
Growth & monetisation strategy
A content and keyword strategy developed, sustainable editorial workflows established, and the site prepared for advertising monetisation.
Where it stands
The publication now runs on a fast, secure, search-optimised platform with a restored reader experience and a defined roadmap — a legacy print title operating as a modern digital newsroom.
With the technical foundation in place, we're now architecting AI agents to support the newsroom's editorial workflows across print and digital. This work is in the design stage — nothing is deployed yet, and we'll describe it here only once it is.
